Articles on: Regios Discounts

Analytics

Regios Discounts shows how much each of your discounts sold, which products sold with it, who used it, and how your store converted while it ran. All numbers come from Shopify's own analytics, so they match your Shopify reports.

Use Cases

  • Seeing which promotion drove the most sales
  • Reporting units sold per product or SKU for a promo code (for example, for a vendor or partner report)
  • Measuring what a discount cost you against what it sold
  • Seeing who used a code, and where they're from
  • Checking whether your store converted better while a sale ran
  • Understanding why a specific discount didn't apply to an order

All Discounts

Click Analytics in the app sidebar.

All discounts analytics page

  • Net sales from discounts and Orders with discounts: totals across every Regios discount for the date range.
  • Discount performance: one row per discount with its orders, net sales and applied discounts. Click any column heading to sort. Click a discount's name to open its own analytics for the same dates.
  • Orders: every order a Regios discount applied to, with the customer's name and email. Click the customer's name to open them in Shopify. Click anywhere else on the row to see which discounts applied to that order.
  • Export CSV (top right) downloads the orders.

One Discount

Open any discount, then click its Total sales or Total usages card.

Choosing the dates

  • Use the date picker for whole days.
  • Click Active period to report on exactly when the discount was running, down to the minute (for example, a sale that started at noon). The exact window shows under the button.

Sales breakdown

  • Net sales of discounted items: only the items this discount applied to.
  • Net sales of whole orders: everything in the orders that used this discount, including full-price items.
  • Applied discounts: what this discount took off those orders (shown as a negative number, like Shopify).
  • Average order value: net sales of whole orders divided by the number of orders.

Products sold with this discount

Products sold with this discount

Units, gross sales, applied discounts and net sales for each product, counting only the items this discount applied to. Switch to Variants to see each variant and SKU separately. Export downloads the table as a CSV.

Orders and line-item export

Orders that used this discount

The orders table lists every order that used this discount, with the customer. Export CSV (top right) downloads one row per discounted item: order number, date, customer, product, variant, SKU, quantity, discount name and code, and the amounts.

Store conversion during this period

Store conversion during the promotion

Click Show store conversion to see your store's conversion rate over the same dates, how many sessions added to cart, reached checkout and completed checkout, and conversion by customer tag. These numbers cover all store visitors, not only people who used this discount, because Shopify doesn't link visits to a specific discount. Compare with the previous period to see whether your promotion moved it.

One Order

Click any order in an orders table to see which Regios discounts did and didn't apply to it. Click a discount there to see a reproduction of the cart and, like the "Test Discounts" page, plain-English reasons why it didn't apply to specific items.

Requirements

  • Analytics uses Shopify's reports, so it needs the Reports permission on your Shopify staff account. Store owners have it already. If a staff member sees "Analytics needs the Reports permission", ask the store owner to give them access to reports under Settings > Users.
  • Test orders don't appear, the same as in Shopify's own reports.
  • Very long date ranges can take up to a minute to load. Shopify limits how quickly apps can run reports, so the page waits and retries rather than showing an error.
